Actinomycetoma: An Unusual Case and Literature Review

In the current era of modern medicine, neglected tropical disorders though rare, still remain a cause significant morbidity in sufferers. Actinomycetoma is one such disease commonly seen rural population countries. Due to presence other infectious diseases with similar presentation and low yield on cultures, there may be delay correct diagnosis treatment resource poor settings. We present 35 year old male patient who came complaints raised lesions over his neck. He had been treated antitubercular drugs for same, despite which persisted. Based clues from histopathological clinical features, we diagnosed him Actinomycetoma. was started welsh regimen he showed excellent response. This case becomes rare vignette due uncommon site mycetoma.
 Conclusion: Neglected are not neglected. Relevant investigations have done rule out their possibility, especially countries where they burden.
